Scott Kim

Head Coach
Scott brings a youthful enthusiasm to our program along with a wealth of playing and coaching experience. He has over 15 years experience first as a junior ranked player in Southern California, college player, finally as a tennis coach. As a junior developing his own tennis game, He was taught by Coach Alex Olmedo, who won the Wimbledon and Australian Singles Titles in 1959. Scott has coach different levels of players from beginners, junior ranked, and college players throughout California. Coach Scott brings knowledge and passion to every lesson he teaches. He is also a Head Professional coach at “La MiradaTennis Center” where he conducts the academy classes and teaches privates. Scott is the co-founder of Tennis Heights Academy in Rowland Heights where academies are geared for the community.

  • Four time High School Tennis Team MVP (1992-1996)
  • MVP of High School Tennis league in 1995
  • Top 30 ranked junior tennis player in Southern California
  • Played for Chapman University which was ranked top 25 in the nation for NCAA III
  • Experiences working with Sectional and National ranked tennis players
